Flavour 7 (Flavours of Life)

Blog 8/ Flavour 7

The Seventh Flavour of Life is "Faithfulness"

We all are living in a dependent world, for example. Organisms cannot survive in the world without the Sun. We all live a life of dependence on one another. When we depend on one another, it creates an agreement between both. The agreement is based on faithfulness; if we are not faithful to the agreement then it creates a problem. Therefore Faithfulness is very important when we are dependent on one another.

Faithfulness is the quality of being faithful. Faithful is remaining loyal and steadfast.

Being faithful is personal discipline.

Faithful in our relationships: We all have a relationship; it may be any kind of relationship like a friend, colleague, spouse, girlfriend/boyfriend, family. All relationships have their own bonding with it. Every relation has its own limitations, we should be faithful in our relationship with others.
“Faithfulness is not doing something right once but doing something right over and over and over and over.”
― Joyce Meyer
There are 728 old age homes according to the Directory of Old Age Homes in India, Help Age India, 1998. There may be few exceptional cases but the maximum of the aged parents are in old age home because their children are lagging to be faithful to their parents.

At present around 60,00,000 Divorce cases are standing in various Indian Courts, lack of faithfulness is one of the reasons for this count. Friends let's be faithful to our relationships.

Faithful to those who trust you: If someone shares something to you personally we should be faithful to them. Don’t reveal the secret of others if one trusted you. As they are not sharing with all, we should respect the importance. Let's Keep the promise even in hard times.

Faithful to our responsibility: We have so many responsibilities in our lives, if we are true to our responsibility, we should be faithful in simple things.
If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. Being faithful in little things will give us the greatest responsibilities.

“Hold faithfulness and sincerity as first principles.”
― Confucius.

Faithful to God: As I mentioned before we all are dependent. There is no creation without a creator.  We should depend on our creator.
